Taste the flavors of Central Washington all year long at one of our many local wineries and tasting rooms. Most tasting rooms are open with either standard hours or by appointment even in the off-season.

Ellensburg Distillery

Vapor distilled in small batches. Smooth, crisp and fresh tasting. They start with eight traditional botanicals, then add a hint of lavender, naturally grown here on their farm at Spring Creek. Subtly aromatic, distinctive.

Gard Vintners

Founded in 2006, Gard Vintners is a family-owned and operated estate winery in the heart of Washington’s Columbia Valley AVA, with vineyards on the Royal Slope, wine production in Walla Walla, and tasting rooms in Woodinville, Walla Walla, and Ellensburg.

The word Gård, which means “farm,” honors the Scandinavian heritage of the Lawrence family. They have been farming the fertile Royal Slope of Washington’s Columbia Valley for more than 45 years.

Brix Elevage Wine Co.

Brix was first founded in Ellensburg in 2008 with the vision “We Must Create” to produce a product that goes far beyond the dinner plate and the wine glass. Brix was taken into the careful hands of husband and wife duo, Tony & Stephanie Ritter, in July 2018. Stephanie, long time former Brix employee and Central Washington University alumni, and Tony, owner of Ellensburg’s The Roost Tattoo Studio, took on ownership to continue the creative legacy with a focus on community integration.

Brix thrives upon supporting local artists, breweries, wineries, farmers, and musicians, while enjoying bringing everyone in the community around the same table.

Swiftwater Cellars

In 1977 Don and Lori Watts began their agricultural business. Over the next few decades, their passion project grew into a business with multiple divisions that manages over 20,000 acres of farmland and 500 employees. An unwavering commitment to quality and customer service made their venture a success, and that same level of commitment and pride in their work is part of the DNA of Swiftwater Cellars.

Thrall & Dodge Winery

Thrall & Dodge is the oldest commercial operating winery in the Kittitas Valley located north of the Yakima Valley near Ellensburg. They produce premium wines grown, produced, cellared, and served all from the Columbia Valley. Located South of Ellensburg and just east of the Yakima River, the Thrall & Dodge Winery is perched on Manastash Ridge 1500 ft level near the intersection of Boylston and Saddle Mountains. This scenic area is known as the fruit basket of Kittitas Valley.

Ellensburg Canyon Winery

Ellensburg Canyon WInery was recently featured on KAPP/KVEW-TV’s ‘100% Chance of Wine’ program, airing in the Yakima and Tri-Cities area. Hear what drew ECW’s owner/vintner, Gary Cox, has to say about choosing Ellensburg for establishing his vineyard and winery back in 1998, and why it’s worth a visit to taste his award winning wines and enjoy the Terroir of the Yakima River Canyon.

The winery tasting room, picnic area, and vineyards are located 8 miles South of Ellensburg, Washington. It is just off of Canyon Road (SR #821) at the entrance to the Yakima River Canyon (the 1st Scenic Byway established in Washington State back in 1974).
