HUNTING IN CENTRAL WASHINGTON

Escape everyday life and go hunting in Central Washington. This area, part of hunting District 8, has abundant hunting opportunities and is best known for the Yakima elk herd – one of the largest herds in the state – in addition to deer, quail, dove, duck, chukar, pheasant, goose, turkeys and more.

Be sure to bring your Discover Pass to park at the lands and water-access sites below, unless you’re a holder of special hunting or fishing licenses that allow an exemption. These Vehicle Access Passes for Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife (WDFW) lands and water-access sites will be issued free with purchase of a big-game or small-game hunting license, western Washington pheasant permit, trapping license, or saltwater or freshwater or combination recreational fishing license. Please contact WDFW for more information.
