About the event:

Empowering Diversity in Fly Fishing: A FREE Instructional Event

We are hosting a free clinic specifically designed to introduce a more diverse range of community members to fly fishing, and our local rivers. We are reserving 90% of the space in this clinic for women, BIPOC, and LGBTQIA+ attendees. Instruction in Spanish is available. The clinic will provide overall instruction from professional flyfishing guide Noe Perez and our very own T.U. board member and professional fish biologist Aimee Taylor. You will learn the basics of Fly Fishing, equipment instruction, Rod set up, casting instruction and real-time practice. You will also go on an educational Riverwalk to see what good fish habitat looks like, how to read water and learn water safety tips while fishing. All equipment will be provided for fly casting practice rod set up and a few flies to use for imitating insects. We want to see you have fun, learn, and be comfortable in a non-intimidating environment. Space is limited so sign up today, event is free, but you must register to attend. Afternoon snacks and drinks provided. Register Here—-> https://tu.myeventscenter.com/event/Empowering-Diversity-In-Fly-Fishing-A-Free-93022
