8 Central Washington Markets to Visit this Summer

Central Washington is known for its agricultural community and tasteful produce harvested each year. Farmers markets and fruit stands allow us to experience locally cultivated vegetables and fruits while providing a mixture of crafts, food, and entertainment. Farmers markets and fruit stands also provide the opportunity to support our local farmers with more of our dollar, which eliminates the need for middlemen. Here are some of the best Central Washington farmers markets in the area.

GIBSON PRODUCE

Open April through October, this family-owned and operated business offers the surrounding communities and their guests the best quality produce as well as specialty items like wine, jam, barbeque sauce, honey, soap, and more. The stand opens as soon as the first local cutting of asparagus comes off, which is usually late April to early May, depending on the weather. During the early spring months, local produce is hard to come by, so out-of-state produce is supplied until local options become available. Be sure to come here during your next Central Washington summer getaway to enjoy fresh finds!
