Wild Horse Wind and Solar Facility and Renewable Energy Center
Set high on a ridge, the Renewable Energy Center provides visitors with an up-close look at the facility’s 149 wind turbines, as well as 360 degree views of Mount Rainier, Mount Adams, Mount Hood, and the Columbia River Basin. Granite Creek
The elevation gain on this charming trail outside of Cle Elum makes for a challenging trek, however it offers a great payoff of beautiful views. The trail follows the creek, which occasionally crosses this otherwise well-maintained path. If you are able to tackle the switchbacks, you will be rewarded with some spectacular views of the Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest; a perfect spot to sit back with a picnic and take in the picture-perfect landscape.
